The restaurant at Lodge on the Desert delivers fresh regional farm-to-fork fare daily. And its slow food motif is an ideal complement to the casual elegance of the overall facility. Chef Ryan Clark incorporates local bounty into his fresh and flavorful menu suggestions.
The intimate L-shaped restaurant is framed with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the private patio and seats 40 comfortably either banquette-style or at traditional table seating. Historic rough-hewn artist-design hand-painted wooden beams accent the restaurant ceilings as do the distinctive, authentic Mexican tin chandeliers. The pervasive paprika and butterscotch colors with slate blue accents reflect its richly authentic and historic, yet newly refreshed and renovated aura.
Dining al fresco is both peaceful and historic. The spacious, delightfully secluded saltillo-tiled outdoor patio is partially covered with lofted, pitched ceilings and features a four-sided fireplace, fountain, staircase to nowhere and authentic metallic lighting fixtures. Patio seating capacity is 50+.
Lodge on the Desert’s restaurant is open daily for Breakfast 7 - 11 AM; Lunch 11 AM - 2 P; and Dinner 5 - 9 PM Sunday through Thursday and 5 - 10 PM Friday and Saturday.
The bar is a local and tourist favorite and an ideal spot to unwind, sip cocktails, eclectic wines and savor a variety of bar food. From the natural unfinished concrete floors to the tumbleweed-shaped rustic chandeliers to the warm paprika and butterscotch designer colors, the bar exudes comfort. Indoor bar seating capacity is 40-ish at a combination of a community table (10), highboys, banquettes and actual at-bar seats. The granite bartops and two - 42" Nexus LCD TVs add a bit of new to the historic.
