MISSION
Founded in 1999, Tucson Originals Restaurants (TOR) are the independently owned fine dining and casual eateries that shape Tucson’s unique culinary landscape. By spotlighting local restaurants, distilleries, and breweries, Tucson Originals preserves Tucson’s sense of place and supports its vibrant food community.
MEMBER RESTAURANTS
TOR's restaurant membership program supports Tucson "originals" - local, independently-owned businesses that are headquartered in the Greater Tucson area and unaffiliated with a national company or franchise.
Member benefits include access to TOR preferred purveyors, marketing opportunities, community events, direct revenue from Instagift, and more. If you're a chef or owner-operator looking to expand your network, build your collective bargaining power and join an alliance of other like-minded restaurants - we'd love to work with you!

TOR's preferred purveyor program recognizes vetted and approved businesses that directly support our member restaurants, often offering their products or services at discounted rates.

COMMUNITY EVENTS
Community events have been a part of TOR for as long as the organization has existed - almost three decades! These events include long-running classics like Pizza Throwdown and newer concepts like A Purely Vegan Affair. Each event typically spotlights 10-12 member restaurants, who are tasked with creating 1-2 small plates exclusive to the event for a cookoff-style competition.

GIFT CARDS
TOR has partnered with Instagift, the industry leader in e-gift card sales, to create a single gift card for our member restaurants. These cards can be redeemed at any member location and never expire. Additionally, 95% of revenue generated by Instagift sales returns directly to members - meaning every purchase is an effective way to keep your dollars local and support independently owned businesses.
